Coordinate, manage and advise on all legal matters in relation to the development, production and distribution of content including feature films. Advise on partnerships with sponsors, streaming platforms, television networks and Hollywood production companies. Support in organizational and administrative matters including rights management.

In this exciting position, you’ll support the management and legal team in all legal questions in connection with media, marketing and feature film related topics. You’ll advise management and legal team on sponsorship agreements, commercial partnerships and athlete/sports team agreements. You’ll assist and give advice to management in all legal questions arising during acquisition, live/non live production and distribution of content relating to Red Bull events and third-party events. In addition, you’ll guide on Union/Guild issues and film/TV finance including tax credit issues.

On key topics e.g. strategic priorities, business planning, legal templates and high-level risk assessment you’ll align with Head of Legal.


You’ll draft and implement templates for core contracts and provide training to the business on how to implement and key legal “watch outs.” Furthermore, you’ll assist with administrative tasks and “back end” requirements such as rights management systems.


You’ll advise on, draft, review and finalize international film, TV, format development and online agreements, e.g. production service agreements, co-production agreements, license and distribution agreements, commercial cooperation agreements. Typical counterparts will be international film/TV production companies, international TV channels and global streaming platforms.


Your areas of knowledge and expertise

That matter most for this role:

  • 1-4 years Post-Qualified Experience (preferred) in a top tier law firm (with marketing and/or media focus), international film or TV production/distribution company, broadcaster, sports agency or sports federation or similar
  • Familiar with drafting, revising, and negotiating media related contracts in English
  • Excellent knowledge of copyright and media law
  • Good knowledge of international business standards in the media and advertising industry
  • Experience of working with other jurisdictions especially US or UK or EU
  • A motivated team player with a well-structured and precise way of working and service oriented can-do attitude
  • Ability to prioritize, solve problems and provide business solutions to legal issues in a fast-paced environment
  • European or Commonwealth law degree; If German law degree, I. and II. State Exam (“Volljurist”); at least one with excellence “Prädikat”. In Austria, attorney at law exam is of advantage. If English, US, New Zealand or Australian law qualification – we require you to be a qualified and practicing solicitor or barrister or admitted to the New York or California Bar. Advanced professional education in copyright and media law e.g. LL.M is an advantage. In Germany: “Fachanwaltskurs für Urheber- und Medienrecht” is a plus.

Due to legal reasons we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is EUR 2,181 gross per month. However, our attractive compensation package is based on market-oriented salaries and is therefore significantly above the stated minimum salary.
