For our client, a start-up company which is building a full blockchain-based ecosystem, we are looking for an

CTO / Chief Technical Officer (m/f/d)

to further contribute to the company’s expansion.

Main responsibilities:

• Drive technological product development in the environment of cloud applications and blockchain technologies, as well as define and conceptualise new digital and solutions on the basis of the highest IT security and coordinate implementation
• Interface between management, product development and the technical implementation partner (outsourcing partner)
• Creation, implementation, and monitoring of IT compliance specifications in accordance with the required certifications and audits
• Planning, carrying out and documenting IT audits
• Ensuring secure and smooth operation of the developed solutions
• Establishment of processes for continuous quality improvement of the developed solutions
• Further development of the systems with an outsourcing partner
• Optimizing the technical infrastructure and evaluation new and growing technologies
• Management of the internal team
• Coordination of external partners (customers, suppliers, development partners)
• Budget and cost responsibility
• IT process management
• Innovation management: constantly on the pulse of the times with regard to new technologies (Cloud, Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence)

Requirements:

• Completed technical education (HTL, technical college or university) with a focus on IT, systems engineering, DevOps, cloud technology, software development
• At least 5 years of professional experience in a comparable function
• High level of technical competence in the area of software development and development of web applications
• High level of expertise in the area of cloud application operations (DevOps)
• Experience with certain security standards (PCI-DSS, GDPR) desirable
• Experience in the area of blockchain solutions, cryptocurrencies, eCommerce solutions desirable
• Hands-on mentality
• Initially definitely not a pure leadership role, but also still largely operationally active and involved
• Leadership and implementation skills as well as a high degree of initiative
• Deep technical understanding, with a finger on the pulse of the latest trends and technologies (such as blockchain solutions) as well as conceptual thinking skills
